Despite a 1.5 minutes late start JE Lyon scored another victory in the club 25 held last Sunday, with a time of 1-9-44 (1-8-14 actual). Second fastest was R Desmet, 1-9-57, while third place was taken by G Lucas, 1-12-14. First handicap went to FG Rooke (7.5 min), second to R Desmet (45sec) and third to JE Lyon (Scr).
Had Lyon started on time he would have scored a double ï¬rst. On the same day a newcomer to the club, G Green, rode in the Tricycle Association's 25 and obtained first handicap and fourth fastest with the very creditable time of 1-13-38. The winning time in this event was 1-12-45.
Tomorrow the club makes its first venture at massed start racing at Brooklands.
